Experience:

At Sea (About ten and half years)

In various capacities including five years as Chief Engineer on board large ocean going vessel propelled by the following engines : •Sulzer RD-76

• M.A.N.
• Doxford
• Steam Turbines with high pressure boilers.

As Chief Engineer, responsible for the running and maintenance of Ships, dry docking, surveys and planned maintenance. Supervised the construction of a new vessels at a Shipyard.

Ashore

• Gulf Dredging Company for Three Years and Three months.
• Joined Gulf Dredging Company of Kuwait in October 1978 as Marine Engineer.
• Promoted to Superintendent Engineer in April 1979 and then to the rank of Senior Superintendent in October 1980.
• Gulf Dredging Co. was then a Ballast Nedam of Holland & Kuwait Joint Venture.

Nature of Duties Ashore as Senior Superintendent Engineer

Operation of Dredging, Floating Crafts and land based equipment . Supervising Dry Docking, preparation of specifications for Dry docking, Supervising damage and major repairs, planning and supply of spares stores, etc., preparing building specifications and contracts for new buildings.

Entirely in-charge of Company’s stores and workshop employing about 40 persons.

Representing the Company abroad for the purpose of solving technical problems with engine manufacturers.

Associated with Vine Abel & Banks as Consultant Surveyor from February 1982 to February 1987.

Working with Independent Surveyors as Managing Partner since February 1987.
